Reducing our carbon footprint
Aware of the environmental impact of our activity, we are firmly committed to reducing our carbon footprint. Decarbonization is a necessity for us, and we are actively investing in concrete solutions to achieve it.
The use of low-carbon cement (CEM II) is at the heart of our strategy, allowing us to significantly reduce emissions related to our production. In the same logic, we ensure to offer our customers alternative transport solutions, such as river and rail, to provide them with more environmentally friendly options.
This process takes time and effort, but we are determined to contribute to the ecological transition with sustainable and responsible actions.

To this end, we have implemented a rigorous policy, supported by concrete actions such as regular training, strict procedures, and close monitoring of risks across our production sites. Partnership with
Firefighters
A partnership with the firefighters of the Yonne department
We have established a partnership with the firefighters of the Yonne department to allow them to train their dogs on our site. A specially arranged space offers them conditions close to real situations.
Among the training sessions conducted, some involved preparing dogs deployed in the context of the war in Ukraine in partnership with the Interregional Center for Rapid Response of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Promoting Inclusion
Through Language
Integration starts with communication
At B-Rail, we believe that integration starts with communication. To support our non-French-speaking employees, we have set up an initiative in partnership with the Poinfor Migennes association.
Two mornings a week, French courses are offered to help them integrate better, both professionally and personally. This approach reflects our commitment to inclusion and the well-being of our teams.
Circular
Economy
From design to end-of-life, our products are engineered to minimize their environmental impact throughout their entire life cycle. Our railway sleepers, designed to last between 70 and 100 years, as well as our burial vaults, which boast an exceptionally long lifespan, significantly reducing environmental impacts through their robustness and longevity.
At end of life, these products are fully recyclable: concrete can be crushed and reused as aggregate, steel from reinforcements can be remelted. B-Rail is committed to developing the use of recycled aggregates in its own formulations, thus closing the circular economy loop.
