At B-Rail, safety goes beyond a regulatory requirement; it is a fundamental value. We prioritize the health and safety of our employees, implementing a rigorous policy and practical measures to minimize risks at our production sites. As a result of these efforts, we are proud to have a low accident frequency rate (TF1), a key indicator of our dedication to a safe and secure workplace.

Our commitment to decarbonization
Aware of the environmental impact of our activities, we are firmly committed to reducing our carbon footprint. Decarbonization is a necessity for us, and we are actively investing in concrete solutions to achieve it. The use of low-carbon cement (CEM II) is at the heart of our strategy, significantly reducing emissions related to our production. In line with this, we also strive to offer our clients alternative transportation solutions, such as river and rail, to provide more environmentally friendly options. This process takes time and effort, but we are determined to contribute to the ecological transition with sustainable and responsible actions.
Partnership with the firefighters
We have established a partnership with the firefighters of the Yonne department to allow them to train their dogs on our site. A specially designed space provides conditions close to real-life situations. Among the training sessions conducted, some involved preparing dogs deployed as part of the war in Ukraine, in collaboration with the Interregional Center for Rapid Response of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Encouraging inclusion through language
At B-Rail, we believe that integration begins with communication. To support our non-French-speaking employees, we have launched an initiative in partnership with the Poinfor Migennes association. Twice a week, French language courses are offered to help them integrate better, both professionally and personally. This initiative reflects our commitment to inclusion and the well-being of our teams.
2024 Carbon Footprint: Our Measured Environmental Commitment
B-RAIL has conducted its 2024 greenhouse gas emissions assessment with Greenly, following the BEGES v5 methodology. Our emissions amount to 7.9k tons of CO₂e, or 88.3 tons per employee. This result places us in the top 15% of certified companies, well below the French average of 827.6 tCO₂e per person.
The main sources of our emissions come from product purchases (65.2%) and freight (15.4%). These insights enable us to better target actions to reduce our carbon footprint and continue our commitment to a more sustainable future.
This transparent assessment demonstrates our commitment to taking concrete actions to minimize our environmental impact.
